a decade of grief

During those life-is-out-of-control moments of September 11, 2001, God seemed more confusing than helpful.

On days like today, He still does. Ten years later, I’m still in disbelief. The evil. The suicides. The 10 seconds it took for the first tower’s collapse. And then the second. The orphaned. The widowed. The grief of an entire nation.
